We are pleased to be part of the Preston Teaching School Alliance.  This is an alliance of nearly 30 schools, led by three outstanding schools, working in the Preston area.  We have a passion and commitment to provide the best possible education for all the young people who make up our community.

The Alliance believes that by working together we can share ideas about education and make the experience of young people in all our schools even better.

We provide outstanding teacher training for an increasing number of trainees, accredited by the University of Cumbria; an institution that has a well-deserved reputation for educational innovation and excellence.

The Alliance has a vibrant range of opportunities for serving teachers and school support staff to develop their practice through excellent CPD and research and development programmes, with courses, placements and resources targeted at teachers and support staff at all stages of their career development.

The Alliance is also able to provide excellent school to school support through our network of SLEs and NLEs.  They have a proven track record of supporting partner schools to become even better.

The lead schools for the Alliance are Archbishop Temple School, Broughton High School and Queen’s Drive Primary School.  All three schools have been designated as National Teaching Schools.
