Miss Royal, our Careers Adviser writes...

"To celebrate British Science Week we welcomed in some professionals from the world of work to speak to our students about how science is used in industry and related careers open to our students in the future.

A massive thank you to Steve Cooper, from BAE Systems, for inspiring our Year 9 students to engineering careers and an insight in to how the aerospace sector is constantly developing due to advancements in science and technology and the employability skills required.

Another huge thank you to Jelena Komare from Kepak for speaking to our Year 11's about how science is changing the food industry. It was great to hear about the opportunities offered at Kepak including their new apprenticeship programme which will give students a chance to develop their skills and experience in the work place and with some amazing benefits too!  https://jobs.kepak.com/VacancyInformation.aspx?VId=25551"

Thank you also to Mr Martin, one of our teachers of Science, who led assemblies for Years 7 & 8 about the importance of Science.

A great few days!
