Mrs Cunliffe has sent us an update on Samuel Cunliffe's 2019 Racing Season

"Hello Mr Harris

As the 2019 racing season came to an end last weekend (3 November), I thought it timely to give you an update on how the year went for Samuel.

The 8 rounds of the Daniel Ricciardo Series UK saw Samuel travel across the length and breadth of the country to race at different tracks alongside 33 other DRS100 drivers who took part in the championship.  Building on his success from 2018 when he finished 6th in the championship with three podium finishes (a first, a second and a third), he started 2019 as a strong contender for the championship title.

He steadily amassed points throughout the year and by the final round at Hooton Park, Ellesmere Port, he had managed to top the podium twice plus two third places.  The previous two rounds at Fulbeck and Llandow had been frustrating, suffering with mechanical issues which meant he dropped from second place in the championship to fourth.

So all was to fight for in the final round, at a track he knows particularly well as he won the 2018 race and also previously winning the Honda Cadet Championship in 2013 and 2014 and his lap record remains unbroken.

And he did not disappoint with qualifying on pole and finishing first in heat 1, the pre final and final, taking maximum championship points for the day and moving back up to finish Vice Champion.

All the races are live streamed on You Tube and the Daniel Ricciardo Series can be found  Samuel can be followed on facebook -
