Two or our students have done well in the Lancashire Athletics Championships.  Their mother reports "Madison has competed in 4 competitions so far the season, She has improved her PB in all 4 Comps and eventually gaining 6 Medals 3 bronze at the Lancashire championships and 2 bronze and a silver in the Morcambe and Lancaster medal Comp. Madison is now 3rd in Lancashire for Shot Discus and Javelin improving her shot PB from 6.46m to 7.17 Javelin was 13.98m and is now 15.96m and improved her Discus by 1m40cm I am extemely proud of Madison, She is training hard and her hard work is paying off.

Grace-Louise has struggled this season after changing her technique however, in the Lancashire Championships she threw an amazing 31.11m in Hammer making a new PB from 29.11 which she threw last year. Grace is now 4th in Lancashire and an amazing 28th in the country training very hard and increasing her fitness in the process. Grace has only been competing for Blackburn for 9 months and in that time is showing amazing promise in the Hammer throw. Grace has also improved her PB's in Shot and Discus but her main focus in Hammer.

I am extremely proud of both girls and rather chuffed that they are following in my footsteps having thrown myself for Blackburn Harriers."

Well done to both girls!
